Philosophy

The Thunder Development Team is dedicated to providing athletes with the opportunity to fully enhance their skills through comprehensive training and development.

Our philosophy emphasizes:

Balanced Growth

Combining Game-play

In-town and optional out-of-town competition

and most importantly, enjoying the game of volleyball.

We are committed to fostering a positive, encouraging environment where players can thrive, while preparing them for Competitive Thunder Teams.

Who Can Play?

12U to 15U Athletes (Grades 5 to 9)

Born from September 1st 2009 to December 31st 2013

Players will be evaluated throughout October, November, and December. They will be tiered and placed on teams accordingly. Player movement between tiers is possible if coaches feel it is in the best interest of the athlete.

Development Team Tiering

Athletes will be tiered into GOLD, NAVY, and SILVER groups.

The number of athletes in each group tier will be determined once we have final registration numbers.

GOLD - Experienced; Refining the basic volleyball skills.

NAVY - Some experience; Consolidating the basic volleyball skills.

SILVER - Little/No experience; Acquiring the basic volleyball skills.
